KCA holds Elder's Day

Bangalore, Oct 4: Konkan Catholic Association, Bangalore, observed the elder's day here. The function was held at Konkan Bhavan Mathikere. The event began at 9:30 AM with the Konkani mass with Rev. Fr. Michael Menezes being the celebrant. KCA President David Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Later Fr. Michael presented a talk in which he gave a message highlighting the sacrificial life of elderly people in bringing up their children.

Second session was conducted by Mrs. Albina Vaz, committee member, where in she presented useful tips concerning elderly people's health & safety. Lionel D'Souza conducted fun games and the winners were given away the prizes. Mrs. Irene Sequeira, committee member, who was incidentally celebrating her birthday on the next day shared the birthday cake with the elderly folks. The lunch was also sponsored by her. Mr. Henry D'Souza sponsored the drinks. Secretary Vinod Saldanha proposed vote of thanks.
