KCA holds Elder's Day

Bangalore, Sep 21: Konkan Catholic Association, Bangalore, observed the elder's day here. The function was held at Konkan Bhavan Mathikere. The event began at 9:30 AM with the Konkani mass with Rev. Fr. Sunil Kumar D'Souza being the celebrant. President Anil Rego Welcomed the gathering. Later Fr. Sunil presented a talk in which he gave a message that the old-age is a blessing in disguise. He called upon the elderly people to be resource personnel by using their vast knowledge they gained in their long life, for guiding the younger generation. He also advised them to adapt to the modern times.

Later Fr. Sunil, assisted by the KCA committee members, conducted games and other activities . Winners were presented with the prizes. Co-incidentally, it was the birthday of Miss Edith Sequeira, one of the committee members, and she got to share her birthday cake with the elderly folks. The lunch was also sponsored by her. Mr. Naveen D'Souza (committee member) had sponsored the drinks. Mr. Vincent Mascarehas, secretary proposed vote of thanks.
